Thank you to the volunteers who supported our casino fundraiser on December 11 & 12, 2022! We’ll share our earnings as soon as we are notified. Your time is so valuable. We anticipate our next casino to be scheduled in 2024-Q2/Q3.
Our Casino Fundraiser is the single largest fundraiser for our school on an ongoing basis. This fundraising opportunity is through Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC), who provides non-profit organizations such as CJP PA with revenue from gaming activities. All money raised goes directly to supporting the school community and our various initiatives. We are eligible for casino fundraisers approximately every 18 months.
Casino events generate approximately $60,000-$80,000 for our school. This money can be spent over the following three years and directly benefit student learning. Recent initiatives funded by previous casino fundraisers include: technology (smart-boards, laptops, laptop carts, site licenses for educational apps, robotics, etc.), library books, artists in residence, physical education equipment, math manipulatives, presentations from fine arts groups, and so much more. Most recently, it helped fund our new playground!
